September CPCU Lunch Meeting

Join us on Tuesday, September 26th at noon to see how much you know about sinkholes!  David Wilshaw, MS, PG, will be our guest speaker.  Mr. Wilshaw's professional experience has been in the practice of Engineering Geology for the last 30 years.  He currently is the President of Brittania Solutions, LLC.  Brittania Solutions provides neutral evaluation of disputed sinkhole insurance claims on behalf of the Florida DFS, peer review of cause of subsidence reports, written and verbal expert opinions, trial testimony as an expert witness, consulting forensic engineering geology, hydrogeologic and environmental site assessments.  Mr. Wilshaw is also an Adjunct Professor - Earth Science at Valencia College.  Bob Swift will guide us through any sinkhole related coverage discussions that might arise.
 

In addition, our Chapter and Florida Peninsula will be making a check presentation to Second Harvest Food Bank for Hurricane Irma victims.  Our members have already contributed 8,920 meals through the web page we established together as part of our "Good Works Project" for the 2017 Annual Meeting. Come out and meet Sasha Hausman, Director of Philanthropy from Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, and our very own Michael Koscielny, President and Chair of the CPCU Society Leadership Council!
 

We will be meeting at Holy Trinity Orthodox & Conference Center located at 1217 Trinity Woods Lane in Maitland, FL in the Aegean Hall.  The meeting should last an hour.  Lunch is provided.  The cost is $25.

David Wilshaw

David Wilshaw holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology awarded by the University of London in 1984 and a Master of Science (Engineering) Degree in Foundation Engineering, awarded by the University of Birmingham in 1987. Mr Wilshaw was admitted as a Fellow of the Geological Society of London in 1989. The Geological Society of London was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1825 and Mr Wilshaw has been entitled to use the style and designation of Chartered Geologist since 1992. He has been licensed as a Professional Geologist in the State of Florida since 2006 (License No. PG2413).
